About Our Rattery

Trippy Tails Rattery is a small dual purpose breeder of rats located in Rome, Georgia. Our rats are housed in our home and given regular attention. We are also centrally located to Atlanta, Chattanooga, Nashville, Knoxville & Huntsville! We are also a member of American Fancy Rat & Mouse Association (AFRMA). 

 

 Our goal is to ethically breed for pet rodents with outstanding temperaments and health. We love to advocate for pet rats as they are intelligent and social, plus they are a great addition to those with limited space for other more traditional pets! We are a dual purpose rattery and culling is necessary for the health of our lines as well as allows us to only offer the best for pets!

​​This mission has originally began close to our hearts as we have owned ball pythons since 2021 and we discovered many breeders have poor husbandry practices and had even given our beloved pets mites. Mites can be detrimental to reptiles health. Our hope was to provide our community with adequate accommodations for those that seek a safer option to feed their treasured reptiles! Our dual purpose practice allows the community access to safe options as feeders and exceptional, unique litters that are placed in great homes.

We treat all our rats and ensure our rats are not subject to mites or any other health hazard. This unfortunately means our home is closed to visitors to keep our rattery safe and we hope you understand!
